2021年中国与太平洋岛国关系评估与展望

Abstract:In 2021，the relationship between China and Pacific Island Countries still withstood the test of COVID-19. China and Pacific Island Countries have increased their high-level political exchanges and deepened their comprehensive strategic partnership. The First China-Pacific Island Countries Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in October 2021 was fruitful. The establishment of a regular China-Pacific Island Foreign Ministers’ Meeting is conducive to timely communication between the two parties and enhance political mutual trust. At the same time，China and Pacific Island Countries have joined hands in fighting the epidemic，actively fulfilling the global public product promise of COVID-19，helping Pacific Island Countries to resume work and production，and opening up new prospects for economic and trade，education and culture，and climate cooperation. The cooperation between China and Pacific Island Countries is developing in a deep and pragmatic direction.
