Abstract:The development of Chinese education in Egypt has gone through five stages，and it has become one of the best examples of the development of Chinese education in the Arab world. The development of Chinese education in Egypt is inseparable from such factors as the high political mutual trust between China and Egypt，close economic and trade cooperation，and frequent exchanges of cultural and educational visits. The Chinese language education in Egypt is gradually being incorporated in the basic education stage；the higher education stage is relatively large；the professional Chinese education has a good momentum of development；the Confucius Institute（classroom）focuses on diversified development. The development problems of Chinese education in Egypt include insufficient local Chinese teachers，lack of local teaching materials，and insufficient teaching facilities. In response to the above problems，the development strategy of Chinese education in Egypt is to strengthen the top-level design and build a Chinese education system；promote the process of incorporating Chinese into the national education system；Cooperation with universities in Egypt；strengthening the construction of local teachers；compiling local teaching materials；attaching importance to teaching facilities；etc.
