Abstract:Exploring effective strategies for urban smart transformation and building smart cities is the new frontier of competition for major cities around the world. As a world-renowned city，Sydney’s smart city strategy can conclude as people centered. It has established a smart city strategic framework which include five strategic goals：“a city that supports interconnected and empowered community cities，enhances global economic competitiveness and attracts and retains global talents，adapts to the future environment and enhances resilience，builds a vigorous and livable city and a customer-centric and efficient service city.” At the same time，“development of smart infrastructure，creating a favorable external environment” are the two major promotion strategies. In one word，Sydney committed to build a prosperous，inclusive，and resilient city of wisdom. As an active promoter of smart city construction，the government can orderly promote the implementation of strategies based on interest-related perspectives and create favorable conditions to build future-oriented and smarter cities. This is the main experience of Sydney’s smart city strategic framework.
