Abstract:In 2020，against the backdrop of many difficulties and challenges faced by global trade，China’s foreign trade has still achieved growth against the trend. Not only has the scale of foreign trade and the international market share reached a new high，but also the industrial structure and trade mode of foreign trade have been further optimized，and the quality of foreign trade has been upgraded to a new level. In 2020，the global trade in services declined significantly，and China’s total trade in services also declined. The deficit in service trade showed a significant decline. The trade structure was further optimized，and service trade achieved further high-quality development. In 2020，the global OFDI fell sharply，while China’s OFDI grew steadily，making it the second largest FDI inflow country and the first largest FDI outflow country in the world. The structure of foreign investment was further optimized. However，the transaction amount and number of cross-border mergers and acquisitions of Chinese enterprises declined to varying degrees. The turnover of China’s foreign contracted projects completed and the number of new contracts signed also declined.
