Abstract:The design of the Silk Road economic belt is to gradually form a large regional cooperation. “The Belt and Road” initiative emphasizes mutual cooperation and a “win-win situation，” complementary advantages，and effective distribution of resources. It cannot be separated from support from those countries along the Silk Road. It will result in the propulsion of the entire region. “The Belt and Road” initiative will make an important contribution in terms of the following：shaping a fair and equitable global governance order，promoting the economic growth of the emerging and developing countries，and providing public goods for global governance. “The Belt and Road” initiative is a huge systematic project. Against the background of the changing global political and economic patterns，“the Belt and Road” initiative will confront both opportunities and challenges. China’s future diplomacy will face the following two issues. How to foster its strengths and circumvent its weaknesses？How to engage in effective countermeasures？
