Abstract:Yemen is an important country in the Middle East and the Arab region，and so always caused attentions from great powers. For over 50 years，both China and the United States have provided assistance to Yemen. Generally，their aid to Yemen could be divided into four periods. Compared with the mature aid of the United States，China is a rising country in this respect. Both China’s and the US’s aid to Yemen have similarities，but there were also differences. Under new conditions，China should gradually make necessary adjustments to her foreign aid. In this procedure of adjustment，China can see Yemen as a pilot，taking appropriate reference and absorbing the experience from the United States，hence making foreign aid a better tool of China’s foreign strategy.
