Abstract:The Middle East occupies an important position on the ancient “Silk Road”. In the contemporary era，the Middle East is a natural partner for joint construction of “the Belt and Road”. Both China and the Middle East are being at a crucial stage of their historical development with their national strategies closely connected and their strong common interest in the joint construction of “the Belt and Road”. Up to now，the top-level design on the joint construction of “the Belt and Road” between China and the Middle East countries has been basically completed，the orientation for key cooperation fields determined and some preliminary success achieved. Although the situation in the Middle East rocks in turmoil and unrest，causing many risks and obstacles to the implementation of “the Belt and Road”，opportunities will outstrip challenges and a bright prospects is in store for “the Belt and Road” in the Middle East.
