Abstract:After Poland formally implemented the Schengen Agreement in 2007，barriers to the movement of people between Poland and other EU Schengen members were removed，thus creating a more convenient condition for the movement of migrants inside and outside Poland. In addition，the introduction of the “Polish Card” system for ethnic Poles in 2007，as well as the entry into force of the EU-Ukraine Visa Facilitation Agreement and Readmission Agreement，has strongly promoted the flow of Polish-born immigrants from abroad and from Ukraine into Poland. Among all the foreign immigrant groups in Poland，the Ukrainian immigrant group is the largest minority group in the country，which has a profound impact on the economy and society of Poland. In 2020，the outbreak of COVID-19 caused a large number of Ukrainian immigrants to return home，and there was an obvious labor shortage in the Polish labor market，which had a great impact on some low-end industries in particular.
