Abstract:In 2020，Cuba’s political institutionalization and legislation construction proceed steadily. Cuba suffered a deep economic recession due to the tightening economic，financial and commercial embargo against Cuba by the U.S. government and the serious downturn of tourism caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Cuban government formulated and implemented a series of countermeasures to overcome the recession and maintain people’s livelihood. The problem of materials shortage was more serious，and the unemployment rate was rising. Cuba had tense relation with the U.S. and maintained friendly relations with China and Russia，developed steady relations with western countries，and persisted in the diversification of diplomatic relations.
