中国-中东欧国家合作的趋势与挑战

Abstract:China-Central and Eastern European countries（CEECs）Cooperation（16+1）has shown a trend of accelerated progresses in the past two years，especially in the fields of people to people exchanges and financial cooperation. However，a set of problems has been encountered by the cooperation between the two sides. “16+1 Cooperation”has not attracted sufficient attention from the media and public in the CEECs. In addition，there still exist doubts as to the “16+1 Cooperation”from the EU and some of its important member countries. The implementation of some major projects and investments under the framework of “16+1” has met difficulties，which could not satisfy the needs of the CEECs. At last，the financial cooperation between China and the CEECs was confronted with some risks. In order to deal with the challenges and risks mentioned above，China should attempt to enhance the visibility of “16+1 cooperation”and improve public opinion of CEECs towards this mechanism. More efforts need to be taken to promote confidence building towards the EU and its member counties. Advanced people to people exchanges should be employed as an effective way to boost the “16+1 cooperation”. Last but not least，the financial cooperation between China and CEECs should be elevated in the future.
