丝绸之路经济带建设在格鲁吉亚的推进：成果、进展与前景展望

Abstract:Since the Belt and Road Initiative （BRI） was introduced，the cooperation between China and relevant countries has progressed to the new stage of dynamic development. Georgia，located in the center of the South Caucasus，plays a crucially strategic role. Georgia values and actively participates in the Chinese initiative，which has given great impetus to China-Georgia relations and cooperation. Through summarizing and analyzing Georgia’s official attitude toward the Silk Road Economic Belt as well as achievements resulting from pragmatic cooperation in political，economic and humanitarian fields with China，this article argues that the Silk Road Economic Belt cooperation has become a notable part in China-Georgia relations；Georgia’s internal political and economic circumstances as well as the foreign policy toward neighboring countries have a great impact on the development of the Silk Road Economic Belt cooperation in the South Caucasus. Furthermore，the country’s potential for development，favorable environment for business and pragmatic policies are beneficial to the development of BRI. Chinese enterprises should promote the Chinese initiative by serving local needs and utilizing favorable policies and circumstances.
