Abstract:This paper provides a study on the Canadian government’s “2018 Annual Report on Immigration” and the “2016 Canadian Census Report” to analyze new trends in immigration policy throughout 2018. It describes the focus of the 2018 provincial nominee program and lists the adjustments made to Canadian immigration policy throughout the year. This article investigates the causes that impact the federal and provincial immigration policies change from perspectives relating to population demographics，political view，economics，society，and culture. In the end，predicts are given to the future changes in the immigration policies.
