Abstract:Matouqin music is the representative of Mongolian national music culture. With the formation of Mongolian nation, it originated in the vast grassland and accumulated profound national cultural information in the long historical changes. Under the tide of global cultural diversity, on the one hand, Matouqin music is impacted by foreign music culture and is in danger of being lost; On the other hand, they survive in danger, absorb the excellence of other music and musical instruments while preserving their own traditional characteristics, integrate and develop, and gradually shine on the world stage. It can be described as a successful case of overseas communication of vulnerable music culture. This paper digs the data indicators of overseas dissemination of Matouqin music through data analysis software, counts the news reports about Matouqin music in English media included in Google News and videos about Matouqin music on English video websites included in Google Video in recent ten years from 2008 to 2017, and makes specific data analysis in order to understand the current situation of overseas dissemination of Matouqin music, This paper analyzes its advantages and disadvantages, so as to provide reference for the overseas dissemination of other minority cultures
