Abstract:The industry transformation of traditional manufacturing to advanced manufacturing has become the development direction of current global manufacturing industry. In the international division of the global manufacturing industry，the developed countries occupy the dominant position. Firstly，they are occupying a commanding position in the field of advanced manufacturing. Secondly，they are outsourcing low value-added manufacturing sectors. China has become a big manufacturing country，but not a powerful manufacturing country. In the past 10 years，Chinese advanced manufacturing industry obtained a considerable development. In 2014，although its growth rate slowed down by the impact of the economic downturn，it still showed a quite promising future. Driving by many aspects，i.e. the policy，the industry demand and the progress of technology，the advanced manufacturing industry in China will follow the trend of the world’s rapid development. The key investment industries are equipment manufacturing，information technology，energy saving and environmental protection，new energy，productive service. And the preferred investment zone is in the eastern China，including the capital economic cycle，the Yangtze river Delta region and the pearl river delta region.
