2019年日韩贸易争端：背景、影响及展望

Abstract:Due to differences on understanding of historical issue，Japan’s implementation of the so called “the national strategy of shaking off the restriction of the post-war system”，as well as structural changes in the economic status of Japan and South Korea and Japan’s marginalization on the Korean peninsula，Japan had imposed trade controls on South Korea，which also took countermeasures，thus broke out dispute on trade between Japan and South Korea. The growing trade dispute between Japan and South Korea has had negative impacts on Japan-ROK relations，US-ROK relations，and even the situation on the Korean Peninsula as a whole. Because the decades of historical issue between Japan and South Korea are extremely difficult to resolve，the dispute on trade is also hard to be solved in the short term. However，due to factors including but not limited to the actual economic situation，the US existence and the public opinions between the two countries，Japan-South Korea relations will not be into a deadlock. After a period of stalemate，dialogue and consultation should be the most desirable way for Japan and South Korea to resolve their trade disputes.
