Abstract:Ecological development is an important area of Yangtze River Economic Belt development strategy，and the inevitable way for high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. In 2019，under the relevant requirements of ecological priority and green development，all provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt adhered to the battle against water pollution，air pollution and soil pollution. And all provinces and cities made every effort to rectify the ecological environment of the Yangtze River Economic Belt，especially responded to the issues the central ecological and environmental protection inspector fed back. In 2019，the level of ecological development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt continued to rise，the ecosystem was gradually restored，the environmental quality was improved，and the efficiency of resource utilization continued to increase. However，regional，and local ecological and environmental problems remained obvious. According to the evaluation results of the green development index，the level of green development in the eastern region is generally higher than that in the central and western regions. To improve the level of ecological development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt，it is necessary to protect the green mountains of the Yangtze River Economic Belt，explore the path to realize the value of ecological products，and establish a modern ecological environment governance system.
