Abstract:Canada is located in the northern part of North America，with a coastline of more than 240，000 kilometers. It is the country with the longest coastline in the world and has abundant marine resources. The ocean is an important lifeline for a country’s development and its “highway” to the world market. Based on the analysis of the development environment，development scale，industrial structure and influencing factors of Canadian marine economy，combined with relevant data，this report studies the development strategy，experience，planning and advantages of Canada’s marine economy. Comprehensively considering the development status，scale and trend of the leading marine economy industries，the development situation of marine economy was predicted，forecasted and judged. According to the report，Canada’s marine economic management system is relatively mature，and the marine sector is playing an increasingly important role in promoting the economic development of Canada. Through the strong radiation effect of marine industrial chain effect，the development of marine upstream and downstream industries is promoted.
