外地生留澳工作的社会争议与政策建议

Abstract:The issue of allowing non-local students to work in Macau has triggered extensive discussions and debates in the community in 2013. Supporters believed that allowing non-local students to work in Macau would help alleviate the shortage of talents in Macau and would promote a diversified development of Macau’s economy，enhancing the overall competitiveness. Opponents worried that it may impact the employment of local residents，interfere the social mobility of local residents，and increase the burden of social security，social welfare and public services. This article summarised and analysed different comments from the community，and proposed some suggestions on the formulation and execution of the future policy concerning non-local students to work in Macau.
