Abstract:Since the disintegration of the Soviet Union，Turkey's strategicstatus in the US-led Western world has declined，which led to the exposition of the structural conflict between Turkey and the West in their security alliance.As the “uncertainty” of the world situation，especially in the Middle East，increases in recent years，a series of irreconcilable conflicts between Turkey and the West have emerged.Meanwhile，Turkey's historical and political factors have also brought about the tendency of Islamization in Turkish politics under the leadership of President Erdogan.As a result，the relationship of Turkey with the West，especially with the United States，has deteriorated significantly.As an undeniable regional power located in a significant hub between the East and the West，Turkey's internal political instability and its ongoing deterioration of relationship with the West will inevitably have a formidable impact on the shifting strategic balance of the world，the development of the Middle East in particular.Through an in-depth analysis of the causes for Islamization of Turkish politics on the one hand，and for its conflicts with the West on the other，this article presents an objective forecast about the direction of development of Turkey-West relationship and its implications.
