Abstract:Under the background of the profound adjustment of the current global economic competition and cooperation development pattern，various countries have launched various competition and cooperation initiatives in the digital economy field，which represents the new economic driving force and the frontier level of science and technology. The global competitiveness pattern in the digital economy field is also facing profound changes. In the current global digital economic development pattern，the dominant position of the United States will not change in the short term. China has overtaken the United States in the competitiveness of the digital industry to become the world’s first，but there are shortcomings in China’s competitiveness in the areas of digital governance. Over the past three years，the competitiveness rankings of digital economy have changed dramatically. Nearly 40% of the countries ranked are in a volatile situation，which shows that the competition among countries in the field of digital economy is very fierce. From the regional characteristics，the competitiveness of digital economy in East Asia and Western Europe is stronger，while that in Africa and Latin America is weaker. The digital economy in Southeast Asia is developing rapidly. This report also makes an in-depth analysis of the scores and rankings of various sub-indicators of the digital economy.
