Abstract:The trade war between China and the United States has brought challenges and opportunities to China-Brazil relations. Looking back on 2018，in the short term，the trade war has had a positive impact on Brazil，as it actually benefits from the trade diversion caused by a tariff war between the two countries. However，it should be stressed that for Brazil，these short-term gains cannot make up for the long-term losses. Brazil has always been a reliable partner of China，and we should continue to maintain and strengthen this reliable partnership. As two large developing countries，Brazil and China have much more in common than they do with the United States. For Brazil，China is not only an important export market，but also of great strategic significance in cooperation with China in the fields of industry，science and technology and culture. While seeking a solution to the conflict of interest between China and the United States，strengthening south-south cooperation is a major task facing China.
