2018年中国国民形象研究报告

Abstract:Through analyzing the “Sixth China Global Survey of the National Image” by the China Institute of Foreign Languages，Contemporary China and the World Research Institute，this paper finds that Overseas people generally believe that Chinese people are characterized by hard work，integrity，modesty，warmth and friendliness，collectivism and traditional conservativeness. The paper also explores the image of Chinese elites and the negative image of Chinese nationals in the eyes of overseas people，and proposes the following suggestions for enhancing our national image：strengthening the quality of the people and the level of social civilization；promoting the building of international communication capabilities and telling the story of the Chinese；carrying out cultural exchanges actively with foreign countries；enhancing the civilized image of outbound tourists.
