Abstract:As one of the oldest colonial powers in the world，France has the second largest number of overseas military positions and global strategic layout，just next to America. Although the colonial era has gone，the influence of the sovereign state on its original colonies still cannot be underestimated. Mayotte and Comoros were originally French colonies. Today，however，Mayotte，as an overseas military base of France，has implemented a series of special policies of diplomacy，economy，military and immigration which have had a profound impact on Comoros where Mayotte was originally located. Comoros is a model of African countries which gained their freedom from the colonial rule of France. But in the era of economic globalization，the imbalance of economic development has made the people of the two countries live in completely different conditions. This man-induced different fate and its influence on the people of both countries are worth of our deep thought and research.
